Copyright & Licensing

Last Updated: July 23, 2026

All artwork, illustrations, designs and templates on this site and delivered to clients are the original, hand-drawn work of Karlīna A. Dzene and are protected by copyright. Purchasing a product or commission grants you a licence to use the work — it does not transfer copyright.

What your purchase allows

Custom wedding stationery and illustrations (personal licence). You may:

  • Print your designs in unlimited quantities for your own wedding or personal event

  • Use them digitally for your own wedding (wedding website, digital invitations, personal social media)

  • Share printed pieces with your guests

Digital templates (personal licence). You may:

  • Customise the template for your own event and print it in unlimited quantities for that event

  • Use the customised design digitally for your own event

What is not allowed (all products)

  • Reselling, sublicensing, or redistributing the files or designs, in original or modified form

  • Using the designs or illustrations for any commercial purpose — including merchandise for sale, business branding, or client work — without a separate commercial licence

  • Extracting illustrations or elements from templates to create new products, templates, or listings

  • Claiming the artwork as your own or removing attribution where present

  • Using the artwork, in whole or part, to train, fine-tune, or develop artificial intelligence or machine-learning models

Commercial licences

Commercial use (business branding, products for sale, marketing materials, client-facing business use) requires a commercial licence purchased separately or agreed in writing as part of your commission. If you are unsure whether your intended use is commercial, ask: [email]

My portfolio rights

I retain the right to display commissioned work in my portfolio, on my website, and on social media. If you prefer your commission to remain private (for example, until after your wedding), let me know in writing and I will accommodate it.

Third-party elements

Templates delivered as Canva files may rely on Canva's platform and licensing for fonts and features; your use of Canva is subject to Canva's own terms.

Enforcement

Unauthorised use of my work is taken seriously. I actively protect my copyright, including through takedown requests and legal remedies where necessary.
